After I saw someone down the street using a yard vacuum, I knew that is exactly what we needed so we can get rid of the millions of little acorns in our front and back yards. During spring break, Mom and Dad helped us shop for an early birthday present and it is awesome! It is a blower that also vacuums and shreds. It worked great on the acorns, and it shredded the leaves into little pieces. We may use some of the shredded leaves as mulch in the garden. If we do need to bag up leaves, we'll be able to fit more in the garbage bag because they are shredded. Genius.
Work for me is almost done for the semester, so pretty soon I'll be outside almost every day, working in the yard or working in the house on painting, knitting or baby projects. Here's to a fun and happy summer!
