Celebrations, Memories and Fun Times!

This spring we've had lots of opportunities for celebrations and fun times. We had a great visit with my parents over spring break and my father-in-law has stayed with us several times when he's been in town for business. We love seeing our family!

Shawn and his sisters held a joint surprise birthday party for their parents in March. Family came from Michigan and Alabama and we had a ton of fun. (Unfortunately as video camera woman, I didn't get many good photos to show here.) They were very surprised and we all breathed a sigh of relief, because our plans were almost foiled when Shawn's parents nearly bought basketball tickets to a NCAA tourney game out of town for the same night as the party!

In April, we went to Shawn's parents' to spend the weekend and attend a wedding that I played. The wedding was fun and we also got to see our oldest niece play baseball, as well as spend some time with two of our nephews outdoors playing wiffle ball and gardening together.

Last weekend we had a fun-filled weekend. We saw Shawn's parents, then headed north to visit a college friend/roommate on Friday. We had a great time visiting with Sarah, Matt and their daughter, who is an absolute doll!

Fall 1999 - The beginning of our friendship!

May 2013 - Looking better than ever!

On Saturday we visited with my brother-in-law's family and went to his law school graduation and dinner that evening. Congratulations, Jake!

On Sunday, we had a wonderful lunch prepared by my sister, Kelli. She and I talked Dad into leaving with our husbands to go get some ice cream. Then Mom, Kelli and I flew around the house to prepare for a surprise birthday party for Dad! His siblings who live close, as well as some nieces, nephews and kiddos, all came to surprise Dad. We had a great time and we're glad the surprise worked.

Happy times for us.
